Fund Raising:
Donation receipts for January were $755, bringing the current
total to $10,337 against our needed goal of $25,000 to construct, place
and maintain the Memorial. Donations
improved over both December and November, 2015, giving us a much needed
boost in momentum! The Project Team needs your support and
we certainly trust donations will continue to pick up in the months
ahead. The total number of donors is now at 92,
with 6 new donors added in the past month. If every reader would spare as little as
$10 for this worthy cause, our $25,000 goal is very achievable. The majority of HixNews
readers have still not donated, so please help us as soon as you can! Remember, your donations
are tax deductible. Just
follow the simple instructions below.

Many of the donations
have been accompanied by notes thanking the Project Team for its efforts
to build the Memorial. Such
notes make our work even
more gratifying and are very much appreciated.
Some of the additional notes we've received are once again
published in this issue of HixNews. The
Confirmed List of Names increased by 4 in January, to a new total of
1,904. Also, some additional
missing data was added this month.
There has been no change in the Unconfirmed List of Names
for some time now. We
continue to need help from all our readers here!! As
a HixNews reader, please help
us by reviewing both lists when you select the "click here" options
near the bottom of this update. To
save you time, just look for names from your class year and other years
you may be familiar with, as a reference and see if you have a new name
or some missing data on existing names to email to us.
Class years, where known, are specifically shown and missing data
is marked in red, to make it easy for you to see what's needed. The
Unconfirmed List was created to specifically insure we don't leave
anyone behind from earlier class years (the 1940's and 50's) who
served during the Vietnam War Era and deserve recognition.
Please see if you can help us establish if these folks served
during the Vietnam Era (Vietnam Era dates are shown in the "Memorial
