Fund Raising:
Donations in April even topped the March surge, with $1,690
raised, including an excellent boost from the opportunity provided by
the Hicksville High School Alumni Foundation's Fundraising event on
April 15th, a musical bonanza during which the Foundation
allowed us to raise funds with Project Team members being at the site,
plus contributed a nice portion of their own fundraising proceeds.
Total donations have now reached $13,572 against our needed goal
of $25,000 to construct, place and maintain the Memorial.
Donations now exceed to goal's halfway point at 54%, but we
still have a way to go to reach our destination.
Even with these events, the Project Team
continues to need individual HixNews
reader support and we certainly trust your donations will continue to be
sent. The total number of donors has now
reached 133, with 15 new donors added this past month.
Additional funds continue to be received due to the generosity of
repeat donors. Our $25,000 goal remains very
achievable, especially if every reader would spare as little as $10 for
this worthy cause. The majority of HixNews
readers have still not donated, so please help us as soon as you can!

The
Confirmed List of Names remains at a total 1,905.
Some corrections to data for the names were made this month, but
no new information was added.
There has been no change in the Unconfirmed List of Names
for some time now. We
continue to need help from all our readers here!! As
a HixNews reader, please help
us by reviewing both lists when you select the "click here" options
near the bottom of this update. To
save you time, just look for names from your class year and other years
you may be familiar with, as a reference and see if you have a new name
or some missing data on existing names to email to us.
Class years, where known, are specifically shown and missing data
is marked in red, to make it easy for you to see what's needed. The
Unconfirmed List was created to specifically insure we don't leave
anyone behind from earlier class years (the 1940's and 50's) who
served during the Vietnam War Era and deserve recognition.
